In our season 1 finale, we've gathered together as many host and guest hosts from Christ Led Youth this year. We discuss what Christmas means to each of us as well as our favorite memories of the podcast this year. Merry Christmas!

This week Ileana, Benji, Kinzley and Ella study “The Family: A Proclamation to the World” and talk about why family is central to God’s plan of happiness. They discuss how the Proclamation teaches eternal truths about identity, marriage, parenting, and love—and how those truths apply to our lives today.

They also talk about:

• Why family is ordained of God and central to His plan

• What the Proclamation teaches about identity and divine worth

• How love, respect, and responsibility strengthen families

• Why marriage between a man and a woman matters in God’s plan

• How we can honor the Proclamation even in imperfect family situations

This week Ileana, Ben, Lilly and Ella study the Articles of Faith and the Official Declarations. They talk about what these inspired statements reveal about our core beliefs, how revelation guides the Church, and why God’s truth is eternal even as our understanding grows.

• How the Articles of Faith clearly outline what we believe

• their favorite Articles of Faith and why they matter to them personally

• How revelation brings additional light and expands our understanding

• Why the Holy Ghost acts like a magnifying glass to help us see truth more clearly

This week Ileana, Ben, Lilly and Ellie study Doctrine & Covenants 137–138 and talk about some of the most comforting truths in the gospel: what happens after we die, how God judges us, and why His plan is filled with both justice and mercy.

They discuss Joseph Smith’s vision of the celestial kingdom and the redemption of the dead, focusing on how God knows the desires of our hearts and provides every person a fair chance to accept the gospel, whether in this life or the next.

They also talk about:

• How God looks at our intentions, not just our outward actions

• Why missionary work continues in the spirit world

• The hope of being reunited with loved ones who have passed on

• How to create an environment where revelation can come

• The importance of pondering and listening, not just reading

• What it means to be judged with perfect fairness and perfect mercy

• Why no one is forgotten in God’s plan of salvation

This week Elise, Benji, Ella and Macie study Doctrine and Covenants 135–136 and talk about the faith and courage of Joseph Smith as he sealed his testimony with his blood. From the Prophet’s final moments to the Saints’ journey west, they explore why God sometimes allows deep trials and how He turns them into strength, faith, and purpose.

They also discuss:

• ​ Why Joseph Smith’s martyrdom was a testimony, not a tragedy
• ​ How the Lord “refines” us through hard things
• ​ Turning personal struggles (like self-worth) into spiritual growth
• ​ Seeing yourself through Heaven’s eyes, not the world’s labels
• ​ Trusting God’s plan even when the path is painful
• ​ How trials shape us into who God knows we can become

This week Ileana, Benji, Ella and Macie study Doctrine and Covenants 133–134 and talk about what it really means to “prepare the way of the Bridegroom.” From filling our lamps with spiritual oil to choosing Christ over the world, they discuss how youth today can stand strong, be intentional, and live as true disciples of Jesus Christ.

They also share thoughts about:

• What it looks like to flee Babylon in a modern world

• How to build Zion through kindness, ministering, and meaningful worship

• The parable of the ten virgins — and why going “the extra mile” matters

• Preparing for the Second Coming with purpose, not fear

• Showing Christlike love to people with different beliefs or lifestyles

• Why religious freedom enables all of us to worship God according to our conscience

Zion isn’t just a place, it’s who we choose to become. And preparing for Christ means living His kindness, His love, and His truth every day.

This week Ileana, Benji, Ella and Macie study Doctrine and Covenants 129–132 and talk about what it really means to trust God, even when His commandments are hard to understand. The early Saints faced severe trials of faith, and while our challenges today may look different, the same principle applies: blessings come when we choose obedience and sacrifice with trust in the Lord.

They discuss:

• Why some commandments in the past, like plural marriage, tested faith but still taught powerful lessons

• Modern-day sacrifices like paying tithing, attending seminary, and making time for temple worship

• How to consecrate your efforts to God and find joy in doing hard things

• Why we should “doubt our doubts before we doubt our faith”

This episode is a powerful reminder that faith isn’t about having all the answers, it’s about trusting the One who does.

This week Ileana, Benji, Elise and Ellie study Doctrine and Covenants 125–128 and talk about the joy that comes from temple work, especially baptisms for the dead. They discuss how the Lord’s plan blesses both the living and those who have passed on, and how small acts of faith here on earth create eternal connections in heaven.

They also talk about:

• Why baptisms for the dead are one of God’s most merciful and joyful revelations

• How temple work deepens our connection to Christ and to our families

• What it means to be a “welding link” in our eternal family chain

• How to trust God when He asks us to make sacrifices

• Learning to listen, not just pray, when we seek answers from the Spirit

• The importance of finding truth through personal revelation, not social media noise

This episode is a powerful reminder that God’s plan is for everyone, and that the work we do in His temples is filled with love, purpose, and gladness, both for us and for those beyond the veil.
