Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 596 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - I could fall asleep at night as a Rock and Roll star...and JHS make history

Brian starts flexing his biceps and immediately Richard brings the tone down before admitting his ego has very much got the better of him. He has finally got to gig with his band and those that have followed the tale for the last, err, two years may be interested to hear how it went. Brian managed to spark panic with his pre-gig advice.

Richard had a great gig experience watching the band Jamiroquai but it was slightly tainted by the people he sat next to and he tells us of his many woes. There was some sad news from the entertainment world this week and the guys discuss it.

JHS and Electro Harmonix have collaborated on the Big Muff 2 and the guys all love it for various reasons which they debate. Brian looks at some of the nerdier aspects of the circuit before making some shocking goat based revelations. Elsewhere Robert Keeley has released an intriguing new reverb pedal which the guys check out.

Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 595 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - Brian gets a new pedal and what advice got you through your first gig?

Richard is about to play his first real guitar gig and he is somewhat nervous, so the guys give him advice on how to make it though like a pro. There is plenty of actual advice for a gig novice and there are also amusing stories and many red herrings. Somehow a new pedal is invented.

Speaking of pedals, Brian has got a new pedal that he has never owned before and he digs into what he likes about - it much to his surprise. He also tells us about his new best friend on the Internet and there is a terrible confession from one of the guys. There is also more talk about aliens.

Blake has been pumping iron and Richard is turning more American while there has been a new Badder Monkey pedal and the guys go bananas about it. Richard patents True Bypass. Brian has mullet advice.

Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 594 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - Brian breaks the Internet as Wampler debut The Compulsion Drive

Brian has turned into Pedal Santa and Richard has been making new friends by daring to try something experimental on the Internet and the guys discuss it. Fair warning - there may be some ranting as there was a bit of a pile-on and our intrepid British King of Fuzz had to fight them off at the drawbridge (insert trumpet sound here).

Wampler released The Compulsion Drive (TCD) which was Brian's tribute to a famous circuit and it has proved very popular for a number of reasons. The guys discuss some of the modifications Brian made, the special not-so-hidden dip-switches, and talk a little about some of the design choices that were made.

Ozzy Osbourne's estate have put out a T-shirt that made the guys giggle in a puerile way and so it needs to be discussed. Meanwhile Josh Scott of JHS has been working on a new charity project and it has impressed Richard into sarcasm submission. Fender have launched a new Masterbuilt Dave Murray Strat and it is gorgeous
