このコンテンツについて
Gerry Morrison and Harriet Wheeldon, specialist legal advisors in the charities sector speak to Olly Burdett, a trustee of the high-profile charity, Tigers Trust about increasing Board diversity and how to use positive communication to amplify the charity’s impact.
Olly is an expert in marketing and communications and brings his professional knowledge to his role as a trustee. Olly also has a unique insight into the charity having previously been an employee of Tigers Trust and took part in the charity’s workshops when he was at school.
Olly has a holistic view of the charity and its mission. Trustee boards are sometimes criticised by the charity’s employees, service users, and volunteers for appearing disconnected or remote. Over time the Board can also become perceived by those working on the ground as a barrier to getting the work done.
Olly talks about how to build strong working relationships between the Trustees and the charity’s staff and volunteers and about how he made the transition to charity trustee at a young age.
