  • Relationship Communication Hints & Tips
    2025/06/21

Having worked in a variety of different roles and communicated to a International cohort of people on all different levels in my various roles, I sometimes forget that not everyone has been as lucky as I have.

This experience has allowed me to develop effective communication skills which I use in my everyday life, so when I find young person who I don't know that well suddenly opening up to me and sharing her life's difficulties while out horse riding, I wonder what it is about me that enables people to speak freely and openly to me.

Join me on this podcast as I work through how I developed these skills, what they are and what I have learned, with hints and tips that you can take away and try for yourself.

  • What are the 5 Stages or Grief?
    2025/06/14

As we approach Fathers Day I wanted to dedicate a podcast to my late father in law, from his favourite daughter in law. I was the only one, but that gives you and idea of his humour and there was always a lot of laughter when the two of us were in a room together.

Grief can affect us at any moment even if its been a while, we can push it aside and not really come to terms with it, called denial. This week I share my story and chat through what the five stages of grief are. I didn't experience all of them, just some of them, but the way a person copes with the death of a loved one is different depending on who it is and on who you are. The important thing is to get to acceptance so that you can remember them in a positive way, I remember the good times and accept that they are not here anymore but that you can always find them in your heart.

  • How to survive divorce
    2025/05/31

Having reflected on my life on my retreat I had the realisation that I have survived divorce I have transitioned from being really unhappy to a situation where I have less but get more value from it and on a happiness scale of 1-10, I am at an 8 / 9, 10 being the happiest that you can be.

I no longer have a big house, but a tiny one that take less time to clean and I am much happier in that space. I have got all my self confidence back, I have worked on elements of myself that I wanted to improve on and I talk about what helped me to do that. I have met someone who is a really great match for me, which I never expected.

I guess sometimes the dream of what we want doesn't match the reality, so while you are recovering from divorce take time to work out what you actuality want from life, what sort of person you want as a potential partner and then the reality is the dream.

So this podcast is probably more about how I survived divorce, but we all learn from each others experiences.

  • So why should you go on a retreat?
    2025/05/24

One this weeks podcast I talk about the Pilates retreat that I have just been on and about the benefits that I felt from going on the retreat. I chat about how it has helped me to evaluate my life and what changes that I should and probably need to make.

This will give you an idea of what you might get out of going on any kind of retreat and it doesn't have to be sporting, it could be a more academic retreat, just getting time out of your current life doing other things in a different environment can help you reflect on your life.

  • Lets Talk About Sex
    2025/05/10

In this weeks Podcast I have discussion about why young men are turning to the likes of Andrew Tate as role models and what we can do to prevent this from happening.

I chat about all the images of semi naked young women that are streaming the internet and how as Women we need to be more dignified as it sends out the wrong message.

I talk about why we should be more open about sex with the younger generation instead of hiding it behind closed doors.

I also chat about female and male definitions following the legal case that has just been won.

Its a bit controversial this week, but I think that we need to start discussing this more and asking more questions.
