Castletown sits on a peninsula surrounded by sea on three sides. The course is dramatic, rugged, and handsome — comparisons to Turnberry aren't just flattery. Old Tom Morris designed the original layout in 1891; Dr. Alister MacKenzie later made his mark; Philip Mackenzie Ross shaped the course into what it is today.
