Die Ulmer Schatzkiste ist ein Projekt für unheilbar an Krebs erkrankte Eltern minderjähriger Kinder. Initiiert von Dr. Sarah Krämer und Dr. Klaus Hönig an der Klinik für Psychosomatische Medizin und Psychotherapie in Ulm, bietet es Betroffenen die Möglichkeit, durch ein professionell erstelltes Video persönliche Botschaften und Erinnerungen für ihre Kinder festzuhalten.

Das Projekt hilft, sich mit existenziellen Fragen auseinanderzusetzen und das Wesentliche des eigenen Lebens zu reflektieren. Ein interdisziplinäres Team aus Psychologen, Ärzten, Stylisten und Filmschaffenden sorgt für eine würdige Atmosphäre. Die Dreharbeiten finden in der stimmungsvollen Villa Eberhardt, einer Begegnungsstätte der Universität Ulm, statt.

Seit dem ersten Film 2022 wurden bereits 30 Schatzkisten produziert – ein unbezahlbares Andenken für die Hinterbliebenen. Viele Familien berichten von der tiefen emotionalen Bedeutung dieser Filme. Finanziert wird das Projekt durch Spenden, organisiert über einen Förderverein.

Neben der direkten Unterstützung für Betroffene sensibilisiert das Team mit Social-Media-Arbeit die Öffentlichkeit für das Thema. Die Arbeit an der Ulmer Schatzkiste verändert auch das Leben der Beteiligten, indem sie ihre Prioritäten neu setzen und Dankbarkeit für den Moment gewinnen.

[ENG] The Ulm Treasure Chest is a unique project for terminally ill parents with minor children. Initiated by Dr. Sarah Krämer and Dr. Klaus Hönig at the Clinic for Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy in Ulm, it offers affected parents the opportunity to record personal messages, memories, and values for their children through a professionally produced video.

The project helps individuals confront existential questions and reflect on the essence of their lives. An interdisciplinary team of psychologists, doctors, stylists, and filmmakers ensures a respectful and supportive atmosphere. Filming takes place in the atmospheric Villa Eberhardt.

Since the first film in 2022, 30 treasure chests have already been created—an invaluable legacy for those left behind. Many families describe the deep emotional significance of these films. The project is funded through donations and organized by a support association.

Beyond directly supporting affected families, the team raises public awareness through social media. The work on the Ulm Treasure Chest also profoundly impacts those involved, helping them reassess their priorities and cultivate gratitude for the present moment.
