  • Caregiver burnout: Simple tools to reduce stress before it takes over
    2026/07/09

    Caregiving can start to wear on you, especially when you’re carrying stress, guilt, constant responsibility, and the pressure to keep going.

    In this episode of Caregiver Podcast: We Laugh So We Don’t Cry, Tina Rains, RN, and Melinda Lee Foster share simple tools caregivers can use to reduce stress before burnout takes over.

    This episode is a little more interactive than usual. Tina and Melinda walk through ways to identify your triggers, build a care team, set boundaries, reframe hard thoughts, use breathing and grounding tools, and make space for yourself on the calendar.

    You may want to keep a notebook nearby. There are a few moments where you’ll be invited to pause, reflect, and write down what is causing stress and what kind of support you may need.

    This episode also includes breathing, grounding, and simple movement exercises. Please do not do the activity portions while driving, operating equipment, or doing anything that needs your full attention. You can always come back to those parts later when you’re in a safe place.

    If caregiving has been wearing you down lately, this episode is meant to help you feel a little less alone and give you a few simple tools you can actually use.
