    Episode I

    Canada feels different right now.

People are exhausted by political noise, ideological conflict, economic pressure, and a growing sense of instability. Many Canadians feel politically homeless, disconnected from the system, and uncertain about where the country is heading.

In the first episode of Canadianism, Christopher M. Michaud introduces the ideas and experiences that led to the creation of the United Canadian Centrists and the broader concept of Canadianism itself.

This conversation explores Canada as a young and still-evolving country, one growing rapidly while struggling to keep pace institutionally, culturally, and politically. It examines the pressures shaping modern Canadian life, including polarization, demographic change, affordability, identity, and the challenge of maintaining social cohesion in an era of constant acceleration.

At the centre of the discussion is a simple question:

How does a country as large, diverse, and complex as Canada remain connected to itself while everything around it changes so quickly?

This is not a conversation built around outrage, ideology, or political theatre. It is an attempt to create space for a calmer and more thoughtful discussion about the country, the future, and the responsibilities that come with shared citizenship.

    Canada is still becoming.
