概要
In this episode, Preston and Erik read and talk through Acts 8. They explore Saul’s persecution and the church scattering, Philip’s preaching in Samaria, and the confrontation with Simon the magician, who tries to buy the gift of the Holy Spirit. From there, the conversation moves into why grace can’t be earned, what it means that Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father, and whether Jesus could have failed under temptation. They also discuss truth vs “your truth,” how materialism competes for our worship, and why Scripture often calls death “sleep” as a picture of resurrection hope. The episode closes with the story of Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch and why guidance, community, and honest conversation matter when reading the Bible.
Note: This show includes occasional explicit language and mature topics.
