The family is one of God's oldest institutions, yet it is also one of the most misunderstood. In a culture that continually questions, redefines, and even rejects God's design for the home, we must return to the Scriptures to discover not only how God designed the family, but why He designed it that way.

In Part 1 of this two-part series, Paul examines God's original blueprint for the family found in Genesis 2:24-25. These two foundational verses reveal four essential characteristics that God intentionally established from the very beginning: leaving, cleaving, becoming one flesh, and privacy with intimacy.
