We finally watched Buddy, the horror movie that asks the question we've all secretly wondered about Barney the Dinosaur, and yeah, it goes exactly as unhinged as you'd hope. Casper Kelly's twisted spoof of 90s kids' TV turns a wholesome purple mascot into something genuinely disturbing, and we've got a full review.

We're covering the killer first act, which plays out like actual episodes of a children's show that slowly start glitching into something wrong, the tonal shift once the story moves into the real world, and how the back half balances gore, comedy, and some surprisingly dark ideas about nostalgia and childhood media. We're also giving our honest take on the performances, including Keegan-Michael Key's take on the title character, and whether the film's central joke holds up for the whole runtime or wears thin by the third act.

Spoiler warning kicks in partway through, so we'll give you a heads up before we get into specifics. Let us know in the comments if you've seen it and what your take on Buddy's whole deal is.
