“I’m Alive in Christ” is one of the first original songs from my upcoming album that I’ll be sharing live this year.
I wrote it on March 28, 2026, anchored in Galatians 2:20:
“It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.”
This song came out of a fresh reminder that identity isn’t held together by circumstances, titles, roles, or seasons. It’s anchored in Christ alone.
It’s a declaration more than a performance:
that the old life is gone,
and the life I now live is rooted in Him.
At Praise in the Park, this will be one of the first original songs I’ll be singing live in its fullness.
I’ll also be sharing “Move Mountains Again,” another original from the album and one of the songs that will appear in the first half of the live set.
This one was written in 2023, in a very different season.
It came out of a time of transition, pain, and separation from a church community I love deeply. Looking back, I can also see places where I could have responded with more wisdom and maturity.
In that season, I had to decide what I would anchor to.
Whether pain would define me, or truth would.
Many people know what it feels like to experience hurt in church spaces.
But that pain does not mean God has abandoned you.
It does not mean His love has changed. It doesn’t change His character.
And it doesn’t cancel what He’s called you into.
“Move Mountains Again” was born from Matthew 17:20–21, where Jesus speaks about faith the size of a mustard seed moving mountains.
It became a reminder that even when things feel unclear,
God is still moving.
My hope is that it encourages anyone who has been wounded by people, disappointment, or church hurt to keep pressing through and lean into Christ.
One song came from renewal.
One came from pressure and a decision to trust.
But they carry the same message:
Jesus brings dead things back to life.
Jesus still moves mountains.
And He is faithful to complete what He begins.
Jesus writes better endings than we ever could.
I’ll be sharing both songs live for the first time at:
Praise in the Park
📍 Nose Creek Park — Airdrie, Alberta
🗓 June 7, 2026
If you want to hear these songs the way they were meant to be sung, I hope you can be there.
A small bonus for those watching the video:
There’s a glimpse of the June 7 setlist in the background.
The first song is just barely hidden…
Let’s see who can guess it.
Hint:
If you were part of the 2000s MuchMusic Top 20 era, this one might hit the nostalgia button.
🎟 Bonus:
Think you know the first song in the set?
Comment your guess.
I’ll select one person to receive 2 tickets to Home Together: A Night of Worship
