  • Letters From the Kitchen Table
    2026/05/29

There are so many ways to correspond with loved ones or friends. My favorite way is through the art of letter writing. I love the creativity and depth in which a letter can be written. In today's episode I chat about the many types of letters and why letter writing is making a comeback.

One book I thoroughly enjoyed in which the character told her life's story in letters is the book titled The Diary of Mattie Spencer by Sandra Dallas.

I would love to read letters from my listeners. If you would like to tell your story in letter form, you can send me a letter to:

One of my favorite tools for letter writing is a fountain pen. You can find many varieties of fountain pens at Ellington Pens.

  • Psalm 119: Hope in Affliction
    2026/05/22

There are times when our day is dark, our journey hard, our life in turmoil. The writer of Psalm 119 had such a day and most likely many of them, yet in the midst of the darkness he was reminded of who God is and what God could do in his life. The writer's devotion to the Lord is evident. His desire for that closeness in God is a surety. It can be the same with us. Take the time to devote to the study of Psalm 119.

    2026/05/02

In 2 Chronicles 7 Solomon dedicates the first temple to the Lord. The principles in this account were made known to the nation of Israel and yet we can bring them to light in our nation and our own personal lives. This passage comes with covenant promises that are conditional. When we draw near to God in repentance he will forgive and heal our land and our lives.
