  • Enduring the Challenge
    2025/04/11

In this deeply impactful episode of Blessed + Bossed Up, we’re almost at the finish line of our book club read, Leadership as an Identity by Crawford Loritts. Tatum takes us through Chapter 15: Enduring the Challenge, highlighting what it truly means to endure trials and opposition as a Christian leader. With a foundational focus on Nehemiah 6:9 and the journey of Joshua in Joshua 1, Tatum unpacks what spiritual endurance and godly courage look like in the face of fear, adversity, and opposition.

This episode doesn’t stop at theory. Tatum explores how parentification in women—a form of early responsibility in childhood—can lead to self-reliance and performance-based Christianity in adulthood. With honesty and vulnerability, she shares how endurance has shown up in her own walk as a business owner, wife, and mother. Using both scripture and psychological insights, she offers clarity, healing, and practical encouragement for women who feel like they’ve been “the strong one” for too long.

    Listeners will walk away with:

    • A biblical understanding of endurance as a non-negotiable in leadership.
    • The difference between courage rooted in ego and courage rooted in obedience.
    • A call to meditate on and obey God’s Word as the foundation for success (Joshua 1:8).
    • Encouragement for those walking through lonely or overwhelming seasons.

Plus, you’ll hear how disobedience—even when emotionally justified—can have lasting consequences, using Moses’ story in Numbers 20 as a sobering leadership lesson.

If you’ve struggled with staying the course or questioned your calling due to hardship, this episode will refresh your spirit and rekindle your commitment to walk out your assignment God’s way.

  • What it Means to Scale a Kingdom Business
    2025/04/09

In this episode of Blessed + Bossed Up, we continue the Bible on Business series by addressing a major question for Christian entrepreneurs: how do you scale your business God's way?

Tatum unpacks the stark contrast between the world’s model of business growth—which prioritizes speed, profit, and control—and the Kingdom model, which is rooted in generosity, stewardship, obedience, and delegation. Using examples from Acts 2, Acts 4, and Acts 6, you’ll learn how early believers created a blueprint for scaling in alignment with God’s will.

This episode also explores what it looks like to legally own things like intellectual property and equity, without allowing an ownership mindset to lead you into pride or disobedience. Plus, hear real-world examples of companies like Hobby Lobby and Convoy of Hope that have scaled successfully while staying rooted in Kingdom values.

If you're ready to grow your business without compromising your faith, this episode is a must-listen.

    Key Points:
    • The difference between worldly scaling and Kingdom scaling
    • How the early church modeled radical generosity and stewardship (Acts 2:44–45, Acts 4:32–37)
    • Why structure and delegation are necessary for sustainable business growth (Acts 6:1–7)
    • How to hold legal ownership with a heart posture of surrender
    • Six characteristics of scaling a business God's way
    • Case studies of Christian businesses that grew without compromise

    Scriptures Referenced:
    • Acts 2:44–45
    • Acts 4:32–37
    • Acts 6:1–7

  • The Power of Holy Boldness in Business
    2025/04/02

In this week’s episode of Blessed and Bossed Up, we’re continuing our Bible on Business series by unpacking the power of holy boldness through the lens of Acts 4:13–22. As Christian entrepreneurs, we are called to do more than just add scripture to our captions—we are called to build businesses that reflect the character of Christ and disrupt worldly systems with Kingdom values.

This episode digs deep into what it truly means to be bold, not in a self-glorifying or performative way, but with a courage that is empowered by the Holy Spirit. We define boldness biblically, exploring its Greek root (parrēsia) and how it shows up in the lives of Peter and John as they stand before the Sanhedrin with confidence and conviction.

Tatum also brings in Numbers 30 to confront how many of us mask passiveness as patience or humility when it is actually disobedience. You’ll walk away from this episode with the clarity to recognize whether your hesitation is humility or hidden fear, and the spiritual tools to begin choosing obedience over comfort.

    Other key takeaways:

    • The biblical definition of boldness and how to cultivate it
    • The difference between boldness, pride, and ego
    • What happens when we confuse self-glorification with Spirit-led courage
    • Why passiveness is not humility—and how to confront it in yourself
    • Examples of modern-day Kingdom businesses that disrupt worldly systems
    • The connection between time with Jesus and confidence in your calling
    • How boldness helps you become a witness, not just an entrepreneur

This is a must-listen episode for anyone who is tired of playing it safe and ready to boldly obey what God has already told them to do.

  • Peace Over Panic: Reclaiming Your Mind in Uncertain Times
    2025/03/31

    Hey family!

In light of everything happening in the world right now—from global conflict to economic uncertainty and political tension—I wanted to revisit a powerful conversation we had during our Blessed + Bossed Up Book Club last year.

Our first book club pick was Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyer, and one of the chapters that really resonated with so many of us was on the Anxious and Worried Mind. Given the current climate, I know a lot of people are feeling overwhelmed, unsettled, and unsure of what’s next.

As someone who lives in the D.C. area, I’ve seen firsthand how layoffs, restructuring, and instability have affected so many people I love. Whether you're here in the States or tuning in globally, I believe this episode will meet you right where you are.

So as we step into a new month and new season, I want to encourage you to fight the battle in your mind intentionally. This is a replay of a previous episode, but I believe the reminder and refresh will help you walk into this season with a renewed mindset and spiritual strength.

    Let’s dive in. 💪🏾🧠🕊️
