In this episode Wes Hallam interviews Yurtsev Uymaz, an associate professor in finance from the Norwich Business School at the University of East Anglia. Yurtsev discusses how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected finance courses and why he believes that whilst other disciplines have seen a decline in student numbers, finance courses have seen a rapid expansion. Yurtsev believes that the lockdown and the shift to online learning have changed students' habits, and they now see finance as a discipline that can prepare them to survive in a post-COVID world. We also talk about his conservative perpective on ChatGPT in the Finance education world.
