  • The Violence of Stereotypes - Season 2 if Healing Racial Trauma
    2026/06/20

In this episode, Adrianne and Kate explore how racial stereotypes create harm long before anyone says something directly. They talk about the exhaustion of being misread, profiled, processed, and treated as if your humanity has already been decided by someone else.

The conversation looks at how stereotypes are built over time through media, institutions, workplaces, and everyday interactions. They also discuss how the body responds when it feels watched, judged, or forced to prepare for threat.

Your One Shift Solution is to notice when survival is speaking, honor that response, and gently return to your breath, your body, and your right to live as your full self.

Naming this truth is the beginning of compassion, and compassion is the beginning of healing.

Your One Shift Solution is to notice when survival is speaking, honor that response, and gently return to your breath, your body, and your right to live as your full self.

  • The Messy, Nonlinear, Bold Journey - Season 2 of Healing Racial Trauma
    2026/03/20

    Episode excerpt:

Kate Pearl: You know, it's almost as if healing's on this kind of, you know. Checklist something you can go and complete on a Sunday afternoon, and then, you know, frame on your wall with a certificate, you know, something like that. So you know, I just think it's time to get really honest and talk about what's actually real, especially for black women and black people. You know, we talk about racial trauma, but especially for black women, because the truth is, our paths are rarely, if ever, that simple like. It's just not a thing the world constantly throws us reminders of that, and big and small, that healing is an ongoing process, because daily there is something to heal from if we're being for real."
