With keen eyes and ears, Max de Beer takes great pleasure in showing his guests all types of wildlife. Max founded Malimbe Safaris with the hope of showcasing the wonders of Africa, while educating people about the threats facing the continent's biodiversity. Malimbe Safaris is committed to providing unique and memorable experiences to all their guests, and offer a constantly expanding range of birding tours, wildlife safaris and nature-based workshops across Africa, Asia and Australia.
The conservation of wild areas and the wildlife that inhabit these areas is a key component of any of their tours. Ecotourism is an effective tool in conservation, by providing jobs and an income to residents within and surrounding natural habitats. Where possible, they hire local site guides to facilitate wildlife conservation. A portion of funds generated from each tour is set aside and donated to effective conservation initiatives.
