# Peyton Manning Biography Flash
Welcome back to Biography Flash. This week we're catching up on everything Peyton Manning has been up to, and there's actually quite a bit to unpack from the world's most famous retired quarterback turned media mogul.
Let's start with what happened just this past Monday night. Luke Combs appeared on the ManningCast, ESPN's alternative Monday Night Football broadcast featuring Peyton and his brother Eli, and things got emotional fast. Luke, a massive Carolina Panthers fan, confronted Peyton about crushing his childhood dreams when Denver beat Carolina in Super Bowl 50 back in 2016. Luke actually recalled rushing home from a gig in Alabama to catch kickoff that day, only to watch his team get demolished 24-10 in the first drive. The country music star even joked that he's on a mission to meet all the quarterbacks who ruined his childhood, and he's already checked off Peyton and Drew Brees. Tom Brady's apparently next on his list. It was a lighthearted moment that highlighted just how much cultural impact Peyton still carries nearly a decade into retirement.
On the production front, Manning's company Omaha Productions continues to thrive. Earlier this month, the fifth season of his acclaimed documentary series Peyton's Places premiered on ESPN Plus, and the latest episode dropping tomorrow, November 30th, features Patriots legends Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman. In this episode, the three work with Peyton to help repair the Patriots' Super Bowl 51 trophy that famously got dented during batting practice at Fenway Park. They actually travel to Tiffany and Company in Rhode Island to help reconstruct a Lombardi Trophy from scratch. It's exactly the kind of creative, character-driven storytelling that's made Omaha Productions worth somewhere between 700 million and 800 million dollars.
Before that, earlier this month, Peyton made an appearance at USC Annenberg where he spoke to about 600 students and faculty about his transition from football to media. He discussed how Omaha Productions has won three Sports Emmy Awards and produces everything from scripted content like Chad Powers to live broadcasts like the ManningCast.
Also worth noting, despite some recent social media speculation, Peyton is not running for lieutenant governor in Colorado, according to local Colorado news sources. No candidacy was ever filed.
