  • When the Mirror Talks Back - Toothless Eddie, Tough Truths & Unconditional Regard
    2025/11/05
Bill was all set to do a solo show—until the universe had other plans. Just moments before hitting record, an unexpected guest wandered into the studio, shifting the tone of the episode from introspective to unforgettable. Bill kicks things off by venting about some recent frustrations at home, which sparks memories of his own teenage troublemaking—prompting a hilariously honest reflection on how we often become the very thing that once drove us crazy.

Then, out of nowhere, Toothless Eddie returns from Florida and brings with him a storm of stories, confusion, heartbreak, and classic Eddie-style chaos. Eddie unloads his emotional baggage: a woman he loves who left him for unhealthy choices, getting banned from one of Bill’s favorite establishments, and somehow not having reached out to his own son after being back in town for two days.

Bill gently—okay, firmly—tries to help Eddie see the pattern: the common denominator in all of Eddie’s woes… is Eddie. What unfolds is a conversation that is funny, raw, and surprisingly tender, peeling back the layers of someone who can’t quite see himself the way the world does.

Whether you know an “Eddie” in your life—or are brave enough to wonder if you are the Eddie—this episode hits on something universal: the importance of unconditional regard, even when the people we love make it really, really hard.

A little comedy. A little heartbreak. A little tough love. 100% Billified.

  • Buffalo Bills Debate, Ernie Clement’s World Series Breakout & A Toronto Sex Club Dilemma
    2025/11/04
Full disclosure… the final segment of this episode did NOT record. Yes, the epic “Name That Tune” showdown — featuring a rare tie AND a first-ever almost-champion — is lost to history. Bill is devastated. The studio is still in mourning. But the show must go on…

Bill welcomes back Kevin and Laura, along with Kevin’s friend Colleen — a social worker with takes of her own — and the crew jumps right into a heated Buffalo Bills debate. Should the Bills have sealed the win against the Chiefs earlier instead of dragging fans to the edge of a cardiac event? Kevin says the offense is a problem. Bill argues this game was supposed to be a loss on paper, so a win is a win — even if Josh Allen did look noticeably subdued afterward. One thing they do agree on: Mahomes vs. Allen is the modern-day QB rivalry the NFL lives for.

Then, baseball takes center stage with one of the most feel-good stories in sports: Rochester’s own Ernie Clement — World Series breakout hero, postseason hits record-setter, Golden Glove nominee, AND winner of the 2025 Heart & Hustle Award. Bill plays Ernie’s emotional post-Game 7 clip, and it will pull at every heart string you’ve got. Oh — and the glove Ernie used? Bought off eBay. Because of course it was.

From baseball gloves to… sex clubs. Yep. Laura recounts her Toronto concert adventure that almost led her to Oasis, the city’s famous sex club. Bill reads Reddit reviews aloud as everyone admits they’re curiously uncomfortable. Would going expose your insecurities — or liberate them?
Laura also confesses something she did convince her boyfriend to do in Toronto — and no, it wasn’t the sex club. She’s already planning a return trip in April… and she just might go through those mysterious Oasis doors.

Plus:✂️ Bill may or may not have ghosted his hairdresser — should he have explained himself?💊 Bill talks about his love affair with Adderall💬 Laura opens up about why she can’t take it regularly — and it’s incredibly relatable and revealing

And yes, the “Name That Tune” round did happen — but tragically, it will forever live only in the memory of those who were there.

Enjoy the chaos. Enjoy the honesty. Enjoy the laughs.Welcome to Billified.

  • Reinvention, Fundraising & World Series Madness
    2025/11/03
Bill welcomes back — comedian, Uber driver, and former strip club DJ Doug Phelps — for a hilariously honest and unexpectedly heartfelt episode. It’s been a while since Doug has been in the studio, and Bill can’t help but wonder… did time away leave Doug with a few hurt feelings?

Bill kicks things off by congratulating Doug on the official proclamation he received for 15 years of fundraising for the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester. As Bill says, “Doug is the only guy who spent 15 years thinking about boobs and people love him for it. What a hero!” Doug reflects on what the honor meant to him, how the golf and bowling tournaments he created have evolved, and why he may be ready to hand part of the legacy over. The conversation goes deeper than expected — what has 15 years of giving taught him about people, identity, and what lasts after you stop doing “the thing” you’re known for?

Then the guys pivot to baseball and break down the epic 2025 World Series between the Dodgers and the Blue Jays — recorded before Game 7 in Toronto. From one of the longest World Series games in history (wrapping up near 3 AM Eastern!) to the flag-waving field runner in Game 6, Bill and Doug talk about streakers, strategists, and the bizarre psychology of people who jump onto the field knowing they’ll be tackled immediately. Yes, even Morganna the Kissing Bandit makes an appearance in the conversation — as does Brighton’s own Ernie Clement, who’s been crushing it for Toronto.

Doug also tells wild, human, “you can’t make this up” stories from his three very different careers — behind the wheel, behind the mic, and behind the DJ booth. From ridiculous to redeeming, one story even restored his faith in humanity, sending the guys into a thoughtful conversation about drugs, class, and the messy, unexpected ways life humbles everyone.

The episode closes with two men in their 50s reflecting on reinvention — Doug’s nomadic, nontraditional life path and Bill’s shift from radio to podcasting, now pursuing a master’s degree. What would they tell their 25-year-old selves? Warn him… or hype him up?

It’s funny. It’s honest. It’s unexpectedly deep. And it’s “Dougie Fresh” back in the studio, enjoy!

  • World Series Thrills, Buffalo Bills Concerns, and NFL Week 9 Betting Insights
    2025/10/30
Bill welcomes Dan back to the studio for another lively episode of Billified: The Bill Moran Podcast! The two open with the excitement of the World Series, breaking down the matchups between the LA Dodgers and Brighton’s own Ernie Clement with the Toronto Blue Jays. Bill also shares a hilarious story from one of his master’s degree classes at St. John Fisher University—classic Bill, but with some wonder about how it really landed with his classmates.

With Thanksgiving on the horizon, Dan asks Bill about his holiday plans. Bill reflects on the value of preplanning—something he’s never really done before—but this year, he knows exactly where he’ll be. That segues into a heartfelt conversation about the advice they wish they could give their younger selves when it comes to relationships, and Bill opens up about his personal journey of growth, healing, and determination to rewrite old programming.

Later, Peter Montemurno joins to dive deep into the Buffalo Bills. Fresh from attending the game in North Carolina just eight rows behind the bench, Peter has some strong takes on what’s missing on the sideline—even after a big 44–9 win over the Carolina Panthers. Both Peter and Dan share real concerns about the team’s future. Bill also shares his vision of blending his mental health counseling expertise into the podcast’s future—an idea that’s both inspiring and uniquely Bill.

Finally, Juice Fields brings his NFL Week 9 betting picks, including his lock of the week. With a winning record this season, Juice shows how just $10 could turn into real winnings with his smart insights. If you’re planning to bet this week, you don’t want to miss his breakdown!

This episode brings you sports talk, personal stories, and betting insights all wrapped up in the humor and honesty that define Billified.
