Today we are starting our fifth season in the podcast. We will be breaking the Bible into six sections and showing how these books point to the flow of the entire Bible. Join us in our discussion today as we tackle the foundational Pentateuch texts of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.
This episode explains why Scripture nourishes us (Psalm 1), traces creation and humanity made in God’s image, the fall and the promise of rescue, and God’s covenant with Abraham. We follow Joseph’s story into Egypt, the Exodus and Passover, the giving of the law at Sinai, and the purposes of sacrifice, holiness, justice, and sacred time.
Finally, we cover Israel’s wilderness wanderings, the delayed entry to the promised land, and Moses’ final charges in Deuteronomy, showing how the Pentateuch lays the theological and narrative foundation for the rest of the Bible.
