    Story by Gail Nobles

Let me take you on a journey to the pages of the ancient text, where the heart of God's truth beats louder than the clamor of kings and the churning of human hearts! Look with me into Jeremiah 36, a chapter saturated with divine purpose and tragic folly, where the weight of God's Word intermingles with the pride of man—a dramatic scene that is as touching today as it was in those dusty corridors of history.

Here we find the prophet Jeremiah, a man set apart, a voice crying in the wilderness of Israel—a man laden with the burden of divine revelation. God commanded this faithful servant to pen His prophecies, to record the very nature of divine warning and redemption. Imagine, my friends, the early breath of those words, flowing like a river of truth from the quill of Baruch, as he read aloud to all who would listen—the officials, the leaders, the common folk! Oh, the gravity of it! It was God's message for a world blinded by sin!

But enter King Jehoiakim, a man wrapped in the robes of arrogance and disdain, who heard not the voice of the Almighty but only the flutter of the pages that he could not control. He sat in his lofty hall, a sovereign with a heart hardened by pride, and when he heard the Word of God read before him, it was as if it fell upon stone. He took the scroll, cut it with a knife, and tossed those precious words into the flames, mocking the very foundation of truth. Can you hear it? The crackle of the scroll as it burns, the fire devouring divine warnings meant for the king himself!

Yet, listen closely! God is not mocked. For though Jehoiakim believed he could silence the voice of Heaven, the Almighty's come-back was swift and decisive; He commanded Jeremiah to write again, to pen not only what had been lost but also add the judgment that awaited this king, a king who so arrogantly dismissed the divine call to repentance! Oh, how the tables turned! How God’s Word, unchangeable and unstoppable, eclipsed the egos and ambitions of earthly rulers!

And here lies the message for us! We are called to stand determined, steadfast in our faith, regardless of the pressures that batter against our convictions! We may find ourselves in a world that despises the truth, faced with voices that seek to drown out the Gospel's call. But just as Jeremiah, with courage ignited in his heart, proclaimed the message that could not be extinguished, so too are we urged to bear witness even when the fires of opposition seek to consume us.

Take inspiration from Jeremiah's strength! Understand that every act of defiance against God will meet its consequence, for His truth cannot be diluted by the flames of human rejection. Build your faith, lift your voices in courage, and let the world know that God's Word remains unshakeable, eternal—a light in the darkness!

You got **Mary and Gabriel.** Now Mary, she's just a young woman, mindin' her business, probably thinkin' about settlin' down. And suddenly an angel, Gabriel himself, walks right in! Not a dream, not a vision, but he came directly to her.! This ain't some whisper in the wind, understand? This is a *messenger* from God, telling her she's gonna carry the Messiah. This shows you the spiritual ain't some far-off thing. It's *right here*, can touch you, can change your whole life in a heartbeat! The divine is *present*!

Then you got **Jacob, wrestlin' an angel!** Now this ain't no polite conversation, no "How do you do?" This is a full-on *struggle*! Jacob, he's been running from his past. But this night, he's gotta face something bigger than himself. He's literally grappling with the divine! He holds on tight, refusing to let go until he gets a blessing. This ain't no walk in the park, church! This shows you that the spiritual life, it ain't always easy. It can be a wrestling match, a struggle to find your place with God. But if you hold on, if you *persist*, you can get a blessing, a *change*!

And finally, **Lot and the angels in Sodom!** Sodom, it was a wicked place, full of sin and corruption. And these angels, they came in disguise, lookin' like regular men. But Lot, he recognized somethin' different. He offered them hospitality. But the city… the city didn't want no parts of them. They wanted to defile these messengers of God. This here highlights that the spiritual, it's often hidden in plain sight. We gotta have eyes to *see* it, hearts to *receive* it. And sometimes, standin' up for the divine means standin' *against* the world.

So what are we sayin'? These stories, they ain't just fairy tales, y'all. They're real encounters, real moments where the veil between the earthly and the heavenly, it got thin. They show us that God ain't distant, that He sends His messengers, that He's present in our lives, even when we least expect it. Open your eyes, church! Open your hearts! The spiritual dimension, it's all around us!

In the book of Daniel, chapter 12, verse 4, it states, “But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.” This verse suggests that as we approach the end times, there will be an increase in both travel and the growth of knowledge.

In the book of Genesis, chapter 11, we learn that the whole world once spoke one language. The people united to build a city and a tower whose top could reach unto heaven. The people were one. In response, God confounded their language so they could not understand one another. Consequently, they were scattered across the earth, and they left off to build the city.

Today, we see Technology has greatly advanced, and we now have tools like Google Translate, which allows us to easily understand foreign languages.

Additionally, artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming our lives and work, making information more accessible than ever before.

These developments show that the amount of knowledge available in our world has indeed increased, just as predicted in the Bible.
