‘Tell me with whom thou art found, and | will tell thee who thou art,’ said the German poet- philosopher Goethe. So, it has been a universal experience, all through the ages and all throughout the world that, but for a few exceptions, all human beings desire company; and that association influences them as sure as milk acted upon by acid transforms itself into curd. That being so it behoves all to take good care with what type of people they associate. It is important that if one wants to evolve oneself to his/her true potential (both materially and more importantly spiritually) one should should seek out like minded good company. Such good company comes in the form of great teachers and religious exponents, spiritually inclined friends and colleagues, prayer groups, religious discourses and gatherings, etc. Through the company of the good and wise people arises non attachment. Through non attachment arises the freedom from delusion, when there is freedom from delusion, there is unchangeable reality. On experiencing this unchangeable reality, there comes liberation or freedom. This is the essence of the ninth Sloka which according to Swami Chinmayananda provides a ladder of progress in the spiritual field to beginners in devotion. The Sloka, its transliteration and translation, meaning of the Sanskrit words and explanation by experts as understood by me is now available as a podcast in Tamil. "உன் நண்பர்கள் யார் என்று சொல்லுங்கள், நீங்கள் யார் என்று நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன்" என்று ஒரு பழமொழி உண்டு. ஒருவர் தனது உண்மையான வளர்ச்சிக்கு (பொருளாதார ரீதியாகவும் மிக முக்கியமாக ஆன்மீக ரீதியாகவும்) விரும்பினால், அவர் தனக்கு ஒத்த எண்ணம் கொண்ட நண்பர்கள், நிறுவனங்கள், ஆசான்களை நாட வேண்டும். நல்லார் இணக்கம் என்பர் நமது தமிழ் மொழியில். பாலோடு அளாயநீர் பால் ஆகும், அல்லது நீராய் நிறம் தெரிந்து தோன்றாதாம்; -தேரின் சிறியார் சிறுமையும் தோன்றாதாம், நல்ல பெரியார் பெருமையைச் சார்ந்து என்ற நாலடியாரின் கருத்து இதனை விளக்குகிறது. இந்த நல்லார் இணக்கம் எப்படி நம் ஆன்மீக வளர்ச்சிக்கு ஊன்றுகோலாய் உள்ளது என்பதை விளக்குவதே இந்த ஒன்பதாவது ஸ்லோகத்தின் உட்கருத்து. இந்த ஸ்லோகத்தின் தமிழ் ஒலி, மொழி பெயர்ப்புகள், சமஸ்க்ருத சொற்களின் பொருட்கள், ஆன்றோரின் விளக்கவுரைகளின் ஒலித்தொடர் தமிழில்.
