    The Message (MSG)

The daughters of Zelophehad showed up… They stood before Moses and Eleazar the priest and before the leaders and the congregation and said, “Our father died in the wilderness…and he left no sons. But why should our father’s name die out from his clan just because he had no sons? So give us an inheritance among our father’s relatives.” Moses brought their case to God. God ruled: “Zelophehad’s daughters are right…Give them their father’s inheritance.

Luke 10:38-42 from the Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

Now while they were on their way, it occurred that Jesus entered a certain village, and a woman named Martha received and welcomed Him into her house. And she had a sister named Mary, who seated herself at the His feet and was listening to His teaching. But Martha [overly occupied and too busy] was distracted with much serving; and she came up to Him and said, Lord, is it nothing to You that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me [to lend a hand and do her part along with me]! But Jesus replied to her by saying, Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things; There is need of only one or but a few things. Mary has chosen the good portion [that which is to her advantage], which shall not be taken away from her.

  • Going First Class - Rev. Elder Troy Perry
    2026/07/27

This Sunday, we are so excited to celebrate the 85th birthday of our founder, Rev. Troy D. Perry! If you'd like to read ahead, check out First John, Chapter 3, Verses 1 through 3 (The Message Version)

Sunday Service: July 26, 2026 (Sermon originally aired 2006)

Sermon by: Rev. Elder Troy Perry

    Scripture is taken from

First John, Chapter 3, Verses 1 through 3 (The Message Version)

What wonderful love our Creator has lavished upon us! Look at it! We are called children of God! That is truly what we are. Yet that is also why the world does not recognize us or take us seriously, for it has no idea who God is or what God is doing. Nevertheless, friends, that is exactly what we are: children of God. And that is only the beginning. Who knows what we will become! What we do know is that when Christ is openly revealed, we shall see Christ, and upon seeing Christ, we shall become like Christ. All of us who eagerly await the coming of Christ keep ourselves prepared, taking the radiant purity of Jesus’s life as the model for our own.

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.

Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And God added to their number daily those who were being saved.
