    The discovery of a human trafficking ring operating as massage parlors throughout Santa Clara County has led to heightened awareness of trafficking especially in light of next year‘s big sporting events in the Bay Area. A flood watch going into effect in the North Bay this (sat) afternoon. The weather won't exactly cooperate, but there is a chance people in the Bay Area could see a series of meteors darting across the sky during the latter half of this weekend.   • Settlement reached in Antioch police misconduct lawsuit

    Santa Clara County is honoring those who died while living on the streets this past year. Friday's wet weather is an introduction to what forecasters are expecting to be a very wet week. The final holiday travel period is just getting underway, as some air travelers are trying to get a head start on what will be a busy time to head to and from a destination. Decades of alleged police abuse in Antioch is finally coming to a settlement. San Francisco hasn't had a float in the iconic Rose Parade in Pasadena since 1978, but the city is finally making it's long awaited return to the New Years Day Spectacle. A pair of Bay Area schools will hit the court this weekend of a big women’s basketball event featuring some of the top programs in the nation. With inclement weather and airport delays already underway, it's shaping up to be a pretty stressful holiday week. The best way to manage that stress may surprise you.   • UCSF IBD Longevity Clinic serves rising rate of diagnosed seniors

    It's time now for Ask An Expert. Every weekday at 9:20 AM, KCBS gives you direct access to top experts in various fields. Today we're seeing more adults over the age of 65 being diagnosed with IBD or inflammatory bowel disease. It's a trend significant enough that UCSF has opened the IBD Longevity Clinic, bringing together gastroenterologists, geriatricians, nutritionists and pharmacists to bring holistic treatment to this growing population. It's believed to be the first clinic of its kind in the country. To tell us more, KCBS's anchor Steve Scott spoke with Dr. Kendall Beck, gastroenterologist at UCSF and co-founder of the IBD Longevity Clinic.
