  • One Minute Story of Baby Wordplay.
    2026/05/26

In this minute you’ll be taken to a magical place that grew out of a personal challenge and then just ONE question.

Here’s the very short transcript but watching is much more fun as you will see...

    🎵

Twinkle Little Star. How I wonder what you are.

🗣️ When we talk, read, and sing to our babies, we are setting them on a path to success.

🗣️ To help parents and caregivers reach *30,000 words [daily] I developed the baby wordplay program in its first location, the Little Theatre, here in Southwest Philadelphia.

🎵 So nice to see you, hello Holden. So nice to see you. Hello, Holden!

🗣️ Little Theatre is a place where families come together to play with words and language, stories, sing, play with your fingers, your toes.

🎵 Nine little fingers, one more makes ten.

🗣️ It’s about really trying to help and encourage and model how to talk to your children all day so that you do reach 30,000 words by the end of the day.

It’s not as daunting as it might sound.

    And even

🗣️ More than not daunting, it’s fun!

*During this time there was much professional talk about the 30 million word gap (based on just one study) and that children needed to hear about 30,000 words daily to develop the language skills necessary to succeed in school and everyday life.

  • Why a podcast for babies? Important notes
    2026/05/08

    This is Miss Pam,

We know from research that babies and toddlers don't learn language through video or audio alone.

Our podcast is not for babies to passively listen to (although once he knows the opening songs and rhymes, he will be transfixed & you can get a break!) , but it is best used as an activity for parents and babies to do together. Great for fussy moments and in the car!

It shows in real time how to interact with their babies in ways that are proven to support language development and early literacy.

For us, it is key not to just tell parents what to do, but to show them on the spot, in their living rooms, on the changing tables, in their cars, and give them tips on how to offer babies and toddlers invitations to connect around singing, talking, gesture, and age-appropriate books.

This is what the podcast can do for you. ..

and after 1.3 million plus downloads and hundreds of five-star ratings and reviews, many families around the world with babies and toddlers agree.

    Warmly,

Miss Pam librarian, early literacy specialist and baby podcaster.
