Beginning with Stephen Lawhead’s haunting image of an ancient oak, this episode reflects on mortality, wisdom, grace, and the sacred work of simply being here. We may never fix everything, finish everything, or see the full fruit of what we plant. Perhaps we were never meant to.

Like the oak, we are invited to root ourselves deeply in God, remain connected to one another, reach toward the light, and offer whatever shelter and love we can.

Our lives are brief. But there is still enough time to awaken, to forgive, to plant something good, and to love more deeply.

Perhaps that is enough.
