    2026/06/11

🎙️ Episode 46 of Audio Underground brings you seven unsigned, independent artists from seven cities across two continents, all hand-picked with zero algorithms and zero label influence.

🎵 Lexi Algar opens the show. Based in Long Beach, California, she's a multi-instrumentalist and self-taught singer-songwriter whose voice draws comparisons to Karen Carpenter. She quit her job to pursue music full time and has been an independent artist ever since.

🎶 Indigo Syndicate follows out of Nashville, Tennessee. This self-produced trio makes genre-fluid electronic pop with R&B and indie edges, and has already earned multiple Apple Music editorial placements and a spot on Live Nation's Ones to Watch playlist, all without a label.

🎤 AyEmEyeAre is an eighteen-year-old artist out of Toledo, Ohio. We feature two tracks off his debut album T.C.O.L., including a collaboration with fellow independent artist Captiøn.

🎧 okleland is a fifteen-year-old from Nova Scotia, Canada, who taught himself to write, record, mix, and master his own music. We feature two tracks, one of which is a collaboration with kitz.

🌲 focal is the project of Zach Sroka, a bedroom artist from northeast Minneapolis. We feature two tracks off his album Porches, recorded entirely on his own.

🌍 Petravita is a Stockholm-based rapper, poet, and songwriter, born in Seattle and educated in England. He brings two tracks alongside producer Talman, blending hip hop and spoken word into something distinctly his own.

🔥 As Rome Burns closes out the episode. This four-piece alt-rock band from London brings raw energy to THREE tracks, including the perfectly titled "I Think You Should Leave" to close it out.

🎧 Every artist featured today is unsigned and doing it entirely on their own terms. Follow them, support them, and tune in every week for more handpicked independent music.

Audio Underground Episode 45: The Memphis Episode

🎙️ Welcome back to Audio Underground, the show dedicated exclusively to unsigned and independent artists. No algorithms. No gatekeeping. Just real music from real people.

Episode 45 is the Memphis Episode, and every artist featured today calls Memphis, Tennessee home. Three artists, three completely different sounds, all on the same side of the same fight. This one is dedicated to Black Memphians and every underrepresented community in that city that keeps creating, keeps pushing, and keeps showing up.

    🎵 Featured Artists:

🔥 Pippotchi opens the show with Color Blind, Soul On Fire, and Give Me Grace. Memphis hip-hop with heart, depth, and a whole lot of intention.

Max Boost and the Power-Ups bring something harder to define. Experimental funk meets roots rock in a way you genuinely have to hear to understand. We are featuring Funky Once Again, Get Ready For Us Now, and Graveyard Dirt.

🌊 Bleu Levees closes out the episode with a full async interview woven between four tracks, Memphis 94, Alchemy, Butterfly, and Switch The Knob. Born in New Orleans, raised by Memphis after Katrina, and one of the most thoughtful voices in independent hip-hop right now. His new album Not the Normal South drops this summer.

🎧 Audio Underground airs on Sonic Scout Radio. Personally curated every single week. If you are hearing these artists for the first time, that is exactly what this show is for.

👍 Like, subscribe, and come back every week for more music the algorithm will never find for you.

Four completely independent artists. Twelve songs. Zero label interference. Just real music from real people doing it entirely on their own terms.

🎸 Eyal Pik is a London-based psych-pop artist originally from Israel who built his entire career from scratch on the open mic circuit in Camden. His brand new single The One dropped March 20, 2026. Sister Bliss of Faithless says his songs should be played in stadiums. We believe her.

🎤 Nur-D is Minneapolis hip-hop artist Matt Allen. Emmy winner. Best New Minnesota Artist 2019. Hip-hop for everyone who has ever felt a little different, made by someone who has spent his entire career proving that different is exactly right.

🎵 Ovven is Nashville indie rock songwriter Owen Burton, Chicago bred and restless at heart. His debut album Gnawing At The Cord is out now and SiriusXM Outlaw Country is already calling it an instant classic.

🎶 Saltydog is a six-piece funk jam band from Duluth, Minnesota, born on the banks of Lake Superior. The Grateful Dead crossed with Smokey Robinson. A midwestern psychedelic cowboy revue. Their third album Runnin Again is out now and they are out on the road constantly.

This week we open with a pre-release exclusive first spin of "Baby Blue" by Split Second out of the West Midlands of England. Levi Husbands steps into the lead vocal role and Jack Barnett is back behind the drums. "Baby Blue" drops this Friday. You heard it here first. 🎵

Then we head to Nova Scotia where 16-year-old okleland is making dream pop like a seasoned veteran. Two tracks this week, "wouldyoufallinlove" and the instrumental "Ethereal." The future is genuinely bright for this kid. 🌊

From there we go deep into New York City psych-pop with Human Love, the reformed lineup of The Dig, featuring "Black Void" and "Goldmine." If you know The Dig, welcome back. If you don't, you're about to. 🗽

Duluth Minnesota's Indecent Proposal gets three songs this week including the brand new "Tears in Rain," released the same week they opened for Third Eye Blind. It will wreck you. Also featuring "Feeling Good" and "The Cage." 🎸

Minneapolis rapper Prof brings "High Priced Shoes" and "Creek Boy" while out on a major North American tour with Yelawolf and That Mexican OT. Stophouse Music Group. His label. His rules. 🎤

Violet Fox is 18 years old and made "Knots" with a producer who worked with The Strokes. She found Audio Underground on Reddit. We found each other at exactly the right time. ✨

And we close with CHEESE SHOP. Nineteen-year-old Miriana put out "Heavy" and her mom believed in it enough to bring it to this show herself. That's what this is all about. 🧡

Seven artists. Twelve songs. Zero algorithms. All unsigned. All independent. All hand picked. 🎶
