概要
MARINES is a four-part Netflix documentary series (released November 2025) that delivers an unprecedented unfiltered look inside the U.S. Marine Corps’ 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) during a high stakes Indo-Pacific deployment. Often described as the nation’s “911 force,” the MEU is shown as it trains, deploys, and operates at sea, revealing both the intensity of modern military readiness and the human cost behind it. Framed by Netflix as a “coming of age” military documentary, MARINES explores leadership, fear, sacrifice, and bonds formed under pressure.
In this episode of the Hotsheet, we interview the young lieutenant in the show, Pryce Seymour, the young machine gunner with the “big neck,” and Major Hector Alejandro, Marine Corps liaison for entertainment in Los Angeles and discuss why Marines decided to give unprecedented access to making the show, the impact of the series on their personal lives, and the accuracy of the portrayal of Marine life, the evolving tactics and training within the Marine Corps, including the implications of force design and the challenges posed by modern warfare, such as drone technology.
