In this week's View, Dr. Eagle looks at the wide variation in antithrombotic regimens after valve-in-valve transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). Next, he examines PARTNER-3, a 7-year study on TAVR versus surgical aortic valve replacement (SAVR) outcomes in low-risk patients. He then offers a perspective on the effect of sex difference and delayed diagnosis in patients with transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM) from amyloidosis. Finally, Dr. Eagle explores the prospective SAMCRO trial which evaluates lifestyle intervention in addition to medical therapy in patients with invasively confirmed angina with no obstructive coronary artery disease (ANOCA).
