• Finish Strong: Season One Finale, Reflection & Prayer | Weekly Reset
    2026/07/26

Today’s episode closes both our Finish Strong series and Season One of Anchored in the Word.

In this special Season One finale, we reflect on the lessons God has taught us throughout the week and across the entire season. We remember that finishing strong is not about constant energy, flawless progress, or never needing rest. It is about continuing to return to faithfulness.

We reflect on releasing unnecessary weight, keeping our eyes on Jesus, remaining faithful in small things, and living with eternity in view.

My sister, Ebony Mattox, also leads us in a closing prayer of gratitude, endurance, renewed strength, and faithfulness for the road ahead.

Season One may be ending, but the work God is doing in us continues.

    Scripture references:
    2 Timothy 4:7–8
    Galatians 6:9

    Today’s reflection question:
What would finishing strong look like in my current season?

Until we meet again, stay grounded, stay encouraged, and stay Anchored in the Word. ⚓️

  • Remember the Eternal Reward: Faithfulness Beyond Human Applause | Daily Devotional
    2026/07/25

Not every act of obedience will receive recognition here, but nothing done faithfully for God is wasted.

In the final teaching episode of Season One, we reflect on James 1:12 and 1 Corinthians 9:24–25 and consider the eternal perspective that helps us endure.

Applause fades. Recognition fades. Platforms and seasons change. But God sees every prayer, sacrifice, temptation resisted, and faithful choice.

This episode reminds us that the greater goal is not simply completing a project or season. It is remaining faithful to Christ for a lifetime.

    Scripture references:
    James 1:12
    1 Corinthians 9:24–25

    Today’s reflection question:
Am I living for temporary recognition or eternal faithfulness?

  • Faithful in the Small Things: The Power of Ordinary Obedience | Daily Devotional
    2026/07/24

Strong finishes are built through small, faithful decisions repeated over time.

In today’s devotional, we reflect on Luke 16:10 and Zechariah 4:10 and receive encouragement not to despise small beginnings, quiet progress, or ordinary obedience.

God can use a short prayer, one completed task, one healthy choice, one promise kept, or one act of service to build long-term faithfulness. Small does not mean insignificant.

You do not have to complete the entire journey today. You only need to faithfully steward today’s portion.

    Scripture references:
    Luke 16:10
    Zechariah 4:10

    Today’s reflection question:
What is my small faithful thing for today?

  • Keep Your Eyes on Jesus: Staying Focused When Progress Feels Slow | Daily Devotional
    2026/07/23

What we keep before us affects how steadily we move.

In today’s devotional, we reflect on Hebrews 12:2 and Psalm 16:8 and consider what happens when comparison, criticism, numbers, fear, or slow progress begin competing for our attention.

Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith. We do not have to measure our race by someone else’s pace or allow public response to determine whether our obedience matters.

This episode encourages us to return our focus, motives, and confidence to Christ.

    Scripture references:
    Hebrews 12:2
    Psalm 16:8

    Today’s reflection question:
What has been competing with my focus on Jesus?

Stay grounded. Stay encouraged. Stay Anchored in the Word. ⚓️

  • Lay Aside the Weight: Release What Is Slowing Your Race | Daily Devotional
    2026/07/22

Not everything slowing you down is sinful, but it may still be too heavy to carry into your next season.

In today’s devotional, we reflect on Hebrews 12:1 and Philippians 3:13–14 and consider the weights that can drain our strength and distract us from our God-given assignment.

Those weights may include comparison, regret, overcommitment, perfectionism, people-pleasing, unrealistic expectations, or responsibilities God never asked us to carry.

Finishing strong requires discernment, freedom, and the courage to travel lighter.

    Scripture references:
    Hebrews 12:1
    Philippians 3:13–14

    Today’s reflection question:
What is one weight I need to lay aside so I can run more freely?

Stay grounded. Stay encouraged. Stay Anchored in the Word. ⚓️

  • Do Not Grow Weary: When Faithfulness Feels Exhausting | Daily Devotional
    2026/07/21

You can be doing the right thing and still feel tired.

In today’s devotional, we reflect on Galatians 6:9 and 1 Corinthians 15:58 and receive the reminder that our labor is not in vain in the Lord. God sees the prayers, sacrifices, acts of service, and quiet obedience that other people may never notice.

We also explore the important difference between giving up and receiving the rest, help, or adjustment needed to continue. Refusing to quit does not mean refusing to rest.

    Scripture references:
    Galatians 6:9
    1 Corinthians 15:58

    Today’s reflection question:
Do I need to continue, adjust, or rest today?

Stay grounded. Stay encouraged. Stay Anchored in the Word. ⚓️

  • Finish Strong: Endurance for the Race God Gave You | Daily Devotional
    2026/07/20

Starting something often comes with excitement, fresh vision, and renewed motivation. Finishing, however, requires endurance.

In today’s devotional, we begin our final theme of Season One: Finish Strong. We reflect on what it means to remain faithful when progress feels slow, the journey feels long, and the excitement of the beginning has faded.

Finishing strong does not always mean moving quickly. Sometimes it means resting, adjusting your pace, releasing unnecessary weight, and simply taking the next faithful step.

This episode also marks the beginning of the final week of Season One of Anchored in the Word.

    Scripture references:
    Galatians 6:9
    Hebrews 12:1–2

    Today’s reflection question:
Where am I most tempted to give up, and what is my next faithful step?

Stay grounded. Stay encouraged. Stay Anchored in the Word. ⚓️
