    Beauty standards in today’s world is one full of many opinions and ideas of what that looks like. As someone living with hair loss, its hard to “fit in” when bald hasn’t always been seen as beautiful. So, how do you stay true to yourself in a world where alopecia isn’t quit a household name? Where assumptions about the condition still hold stigma?

    Well, truth be told everyone is different so this episode is all about ways to be true to you with Alison Mann. Alison was diagnosed with Alopecia Areata at 4 years old and is a licensed psychotherapist who specializes in body image and anxiety. She also founded her business, Aid by Ali, which provides mental health resources specifically for people with hair loss. She created the Hair Loss Diary, offers mental health coaching for hair loss and much more. She has been creating content about Alopecia since she was in high school and is passionate about mentoring younger girls with Alopecia.

    We hope through listening to Alison’s incredible journey we can all tear a page out of her book and redefine what it means to be true to yourself!
