  • Why Traditional Business Advice (Often) Doesn’t Work for People like Us — and What Does
    2025/07/08

    Send us a text

Traditional business advice often doesn't work for people like us. Why is that? It's not MADE for us and our brilliant, neurodivergent or differently-wired brains, our energy needs and our life circumstances.

Trying to FORCE it to work for us can make us feel like we're failing when really, it's the advice that is the problem.
In this ep we look at:

    • The hidden assumptions behind many "proven" strategies (eg full time work hours, team, big list, budget for ads)
    • How to shift from rigid advice to flexible principles that actually fit your energy and goals
    • Real client examples of how we adjusted strategy to work for them, not against them

If you're done trying to follow advice that was never going to work for you - this episode might feel like a huge dose of permission to do things differently and work WITH your brilliance.

If you love the idea of strategising with me to grow your business in ways that work for YOU, check out the Mastermind.

  • Hidden Costs that can come with Being Differently-Wired - and What to Do About It (Plus: Invisible Tax Bingo!)
    2025/07/02

    Send us a text

If you’ve ever wondered, “Why does this feel so much harder for me than everyone else?” — this episode is for you.

I name what I call the “invisible tax” — the emotional labour, missed details, and energetic toll paid by differently-wired women* (those navigating giftedness, ADHD traits, sensitivity or simply a brain that works uniquely).

More importantly, I walk you through how to find solutions and strategies that actually work for your brain.

    In this episode, I cover:

    • What the invisible tax is (and how it can drain your time, energy, and money)
    • Invisible Tax Bingo - with real, relatable examples you’ve likely experienced
    • What it looks like to solve the right problem (instead of being reactive)
    • Real solutions my Mastermind clients and I have created based on our own unique brain requirements

Whether it’s missed emails, money stress, inconsistent marketing, or rejection sensitivity - you’ll feel seen here.

    Check out the Mastermind: http://alignandattract.com/mastermind

And I know I have missed so many examples of this invisible tax - come share yours at http://instagram.com/kerryrowett

*I use the word woman in the ep but please substitute human/person if needed. Another tax - overlooking things like this and then feeling bad, or redoing work! I did wonder if I should record the whole ep - but on this occasion - I hope you can see it as a great example of what we're discussing!

  • What happens when you integrate an identity?
    2025/06/24

    Send us a text

Let's look at what it looks like to truly integrate an identity—particularly one that has felt painful, defining, or it's something you just discovered about you. This has been big for me this year!

    • If you've been resonating with my recent eps and are grappling with an identity shift of your own, you'll love my identity integration workshop. Check out the details here: http://alignandattract.com/brilliant

In today's ep, I walk you through the phases I see of identity integration:

    • Personalising your experience (feeling like it's a "you" thing)
    • Recognising your symptoms or traits may point to something
    • Getting a diagnosis, label or explanation that really resonates
    • Settling and integrating the identity as part of who you are

At any point you might positive disintegration where you release the old identity and rediscover who you are now. I talk about Positive Disintegration in this podcast ep: https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/the-wild-ride-of-big-identity-shifts/id1547065734?i=1000708370698

I share how this process unfolded in my experience of ADHD and giftedness, and how I now relate to these identities after integrating them.

If you're on a journey of identity discovery, acceptance or redefinition, this episode is for you.

  • What looks like ADHD but isn’t? (Overexcitabilities!)
    2025/06/17

    Send us a text

Today on the podcast we're talking about something that can look a LOT like ADHD - but it's not.

You can have ADHD + this thing.

    Or one or the other.

I certainly did have both. And now? I don't have ADHD but I do have the other traits.

    WHAT am I talking about?

    Overexcitabilities.

In this episode of the Align + Attract podcast, I introduce the five overexcitabilities.

I wonder how many of these overexcitabilities (OEs) you can relate to?

    • Emotional
    • Psychomotor
    • Sensorial (sensory)
    • Intellectual
    • Imaginational

    I share personal reflections on:

    • How these traits manifested for me as a child
    • How they manifest for me as an adult
    • Some differences I've observed now I don't have symptoms of ADHD but DO still have these overexcitabilities
    • How one of my overexcitabilities showed up when I was researching this ep!

I’ve had a diagnosis. And I’ve had an insight. And I’ve had to reconcile the two.
In this episode of Align + Attract, I explore the nuanced question of diagnosis—through the lens of ADHD, giftedness, and my own lived experience.

  • The Truth About Brilliant, Differently Wired Brains (And the Trauma Response I Never Saw Coming)
    2025/05/27

    Send us a text

Last week, I shared how receiving an ADHD diagnosis changed my life. But what if that label, as helpful as it was, didn’t tell the whole story?

I left you on a cliffhanger: what WAS the insight I received, via my son that changed everything?!

So much so that I had to stop taking ADHD medication - because I started to react to it like someone who does NOT have ADHD. It's time to spill the beans.

I share the conversation with a psychologist which unearthed something I wasn’t expecting—and triggered a profound trauma response I didn't understand - yet.

What followed was a deep exploration of neurodivergence, identity, and the complexities of how some of us are wired to see and feel the world.

This episode is for anyone who’s ever felt intense, different, or like their brilliance doesn’t quite fit the mould. If you’ve ever wondered whether there’s a hidden layer to your challenges—or your gifts—you’ll want to listen to this.

There's so much more to come because this is a rich, transformative conversation that I am still synthesising - and I'm starting to bring you right into it what I've been exploring.

DON'T want to wait a whole week to hear the EXACT realisation I had and prefer the raw, emotional version of this story? Of course you do! Sign up to watch it here - complete with unexpected tears AND an accidental f- bomb: https://alignandattract.com/story

  • Is ADHD a Superpower? My ADHD Experience, Diagnosis and What Happened Next
    2025/05/20

    Send us a text

In this personal episode of the Align + Attract podcast, I’m sharing the story of how I discovered I had ADHD at age 46—and how that diagnosis changed everything for me.

From denial to deep overwhelm, then finally clarity, support, and a new level of growth… this journey has shaped not only my life and business but also powerful new work I'll share with you soon.
    I explore:

    • The years I spent thinking something was wrong with me—but never once suspecting ADHD
    • How motherhood amplified my symptoms and made it harder to function in business and at home
    • The experience of masking and holding it all together (even when I was falling apart inside)
    • What it was like to get diagnosed later in life, and why it came with so much emotion
    • The incredible difference medication made for me—and what came next that I never expected
    • Whether I see ADHD as a "superpower"—and my honest take on that conversation
    • What executive dysfunction actually feels like, and how it impacted my ability to plan, organise and grow
    • Why this insight has allowed me to support my clients at an even deeper level

This episode is for high-achieving women who’ve always known they’re smart—but have often felt like they’re falling short, no matter how hard they try.
