The road to Beorn’s house takes an unexpected turn when the party stumble across an abandoned boat drifting in uneasy silence.

Inside, they find two bodies.

Men of Beorn.

And across the bank… the orcs they themselves had slain.

What happened here—and who the fallen men were transporting—remains a troubling mystery. But for once, the Guild make a unified decision: the dead will be returned home.

What follows is a feat of ingenuity that absolutely no one saw coming.

The Lonely constructs a makeshift toboggan from the wreckage, hauling the fallen across the wilds in a display that is equal parts impressive and deeply impractical.

And somehow… it works.

Arriving at Beorn’s hall, the tone shifts. Honour is paid. A great feast is held. Mead flows freely, stories are shared, and for a brief moment, the weight of the road lifts.

Naturally, this doesn’t last.

Bungo turns his attention to the rough-looking waitresses, The Lonely embraces the mead a little too enthusiastically—and may reveal more than intended—while Haldir quietly considers the unanswered questions surrounding the dead men.

And Aramil… thinks about rope.

Morning comes with heavy heads, dry mouths, and a request from Beorn himself.

The journey continues.
