Starting over opens a window of time where we get to begin again in a new place, with new people, and share new experiences. But within this window, we also get to decide what of our story gets carried forward and what gets dropped.

James Clear's Atomic Habits invites readers to think of habit building like casting a vote for the kind of person you want to be. I've always loved that analogy, and it's helping me be more intentional about the version of myself that gets shared in this "new start" environment.

I'm using my style choices to say something about myself. I'm being more discerning about what I share of my story. I'm allowing others to share new things with me. It's all my chance to cast a vote for the kind of person I am, and who I want to be.

This week's intuitive message for the collective asks us how to stay in anticipation of the things that are coming toward us without losing sight of who we are right now. We are being invited to become grounded in who we are. Tune in and harness a self-practice to support ourselves and who we are becoming!

Starting over is process that asks us to orient to the present and the future moments, rather than just the past. This occurred to me recently, and I've had my own struggles with it given how much I actually enjoy thinking about the past, replaying things, reviewing conversations, and remembering what happened.

We are not a species who exist in just one moment in time; we are a culmination of all of the experiences we've had, the people we've met, and the places we've been. And like we do in real time, we evolve and change as things unfold in our lives, creating new, updated versions of ourselves. Starting over calls forth this new version of self, adjusting and shifting our identity.

This week's intuitive message for the collective addresses the intense energy on the planet asking us to come face to face with endings and closures.

This is a time to be extraordinarily gentle with yourself. Preserve and care for yourself, and likewise be gentle with others.

And do your best to allow what is being cleared out or coming to an end, so that you can more fully surrender to the path your soul wants to take.

Over the last several years, I have occupied many different homes. Some owned by loved ones. Some by people I know on the periphery. But in all of these instances, I now understand there is an energy that belongs to a physical space. And when it hasn't only been yours, it carries the footprint of all those occupants who preceded you...even those who built it!

Starting over meant that only my energetic footprint belongs in my home. Tune in to learn how you can do this, too!
