In this epiosde, host Claire Quirion is joined by Chris Cocek, Technology Integration & AI Lead with the Halifax Regional Centre for Education, Nova Scotia’s largest school board serving students and educators across the Halifax region. Chris works with HRCE’s Technology Integration & Learning Technologies (TILT) team to support ethical, practical and future-focused use of technology in classrooms. Together, they discuss how AI is currently being used in schools, the guidelines HRCE has developed to support responsible adoption, insights from a recent AI pilot involving teachers from 40 schools and what AI readiness looks like for public education over the next few years.
