 AI’s a big thing nowadays, isn’t it? It’s creeping into our lives in all sorts of ways. In universities, in the world of Hollywood, in accounting and many other areas of society. But what about podcasting? Can you get a good AI-generated podcast? Someone’s probably answered that, although their answer’s probably a bit unethical. You might find a fully AI-generated podcast a bit too weird and a bit too inhuman, which is why this podcast series has been written and produced by a human (me! the idiot writing this blurb you’re reading right now!). Using the most convenient text-to-speech software and the cheapest editing software I could find, I, Olly Walker, will attempt to answer some key questions. Can AI bots say things that have come from a human? Can their conversations sound real? And, perhaps most importantly, can they do accents other than English and American? The catch? I’m not very experienced, so the episodes may sound a bit amateur (or, if you prefer, all the more like they’ve been AI-generated). Think of this as the vegan AI podcast: it’s AI podcasting, but done a bit more ethically. Come with me and explore the world of AI-Dible. A brand new anthology series, with a new podcast episode every week (probably). *And no, logo design is not my forte either.
