Texas linebacker Rasheem Biles grew up 25 miles from Ohio Stadium. He starred at Pickerington Central. And when he hit the transfer portal this offseason, Ohio State came calling.
He wasn't interested.
"I ain't trying to be a Buckeye," Biles told reporters this week. "They didn't want me out of high school and I was right there, so ain't no point in trying to get me now."
Biles, a 2026 Phil Steele Preseason First-Team All-American after three seasons at Pitt, chose Texas over Ohio State, Colorado, Michigan and Miami — and he's circled Ohio State's Week 2 trip to Austin on his calendar.
In this video, we break down:
- Biles' comments and the real history behind his snub of Ohio State
- Why the Buckeyes passed on him coming out of high school
- How Ohio State prioritized Christian Alliegro at linebacker in the portal instead
- What Biles brings to a stacked Texas defense (101 tackles, 4.5 sacks in 2025)
- What this means for the massive Julian Sayin vs. Arch Manning showdown on September 12
Does Biles have a real grudge, or is this just pregame bulletin board material? Let us know in the comments.
