  • Foundations Episode 7 - The Role Of The Holy Spirit
    2026/03/21

If Christ has already done everything necessary for salvation… what role does the Holy Spirit play now?

In this final episode of the Foundations series, we examine the role of the Holy Spirit—not as a vague force, but as the indwelling presence of God who applies what Christ has already accomplished.

This episode addresses some of the most common and often misunderstood questions:

    • How does the Holy Spirit speak?
    • Why do believers still struggle with sin?
    • What is the difference between conviction and condemnation?
    • How can we discern the Spirit’s voice with clarity?

At the center of this discussion is a critical truth:

The Holy Spirit convicts—but does not condemn.

    Conviction is not rejection.
    It is evidence of life.

If you are a believer who feels the weight of ongoing struggle, this episode is meant to bring clarity and hope. The discomfort you feel toward sin is not proof that you are far from God—it is often the clearest sign that the Spirit is actively working within you, drawing you closer, not pushing you away.

From Genesis to Pentecost and into the life of every believer today, this episode brings the series to its conclusion by showing how restored access to God becomes a lived relationship through the Holy Spirit.

This is the final episode of the Foundations series—bringing together everything from creation, to the fall, to Christ, and now to the Spirit who enables us to walk with God daily.

  • Foundations Episode 6 - Jesus As Our Sacrifice
    2026/03/20

Jesus is often reduced to a moral teacher, a religious symbol, or a misunderstood martyr. But if He was truly the Son of God, then the bigger question becomes: Why did He have to die—and what did His death actually accomplish?

In this episode of A Shot of Wisdom, we trace the biblical logic of salvation through sacrifice. Starting from the foundation laid in the earlier episodes, this study explains why sin brought separation, why humanity could not repair that separation on its own, why sacrifice was required, and why Jesus Christ alone could fulfill what all previous sacrifices only pointed toward. This message also explores how the cross and resurrection work together—showing that Christ did not merely die for sin, but defeated death itself and restored access to God.

This episode addresses questions such as:
    Why was the cross necessary?
Could God have forgiven sin without sacrifice?
Why did Jesus have to be fully God and fully man?
Was Jesus just a martyr, or was His death accomplishing something far greater?
How can God remain loving and just at the same time?
What does the resurrection add to the meaning of the cross?
Why can’t human effort, obedience, or religion restore relationship with God?
    What is baptism actually declaring?
And if salvation is fully God’s work, what place do faith and good works still have?

At the center of Scripture is a consistent message: God initiates, God provides, God completes—and mankind is called to respond in faith.

If you have not listened to the earlier episodes in the Foundations series, I encourage you to begin there, since this message builds directly on those biblical foundations.

  • Foundations Episode 5 - Jesus Christ, The Word Of God
    2026/03/17

In Episode 5 of the Foundations Series, we turn to one of the most important and often misunderstood questions in Christianity: Who is Jesus Christ?

Christians often attempt to explain the relationship between the Father and the Son using analogies drawn from human experience. These illustrations are meant to help, but often do more harm than good. They frequently oversimplify spiritual realities that ultimately lie beyond the limits of human understanding,

Rather than trying to explain God through these human comparisons, this episode takes the proper approach: we allow Scripture to speak for itself.

Looking at passages from Genesis, John, Romans, Exodus, and the teachings of Jesus Himself, we examine the biblical presentation of Christ as the Word of God—the One who was with God and was God, the One through whom all creation came into existence, and the One through whom the unseen Father is made known to mankind.

The goal of this study is not to force God into human categories, but to understand what the Bible actually reveals. Scripture provides real clarity about Christ’s identity while also reminding us that God’s nature ultimately reaches beyond what human language can fully explain.

By grounding our understanding in Scripture rather than speculation, we begin to see how Jesus can be both God and the Son of God without contradiction.

This episode lays the theological foundation for the next discussion in the series, where we turn to the central act of Christ’s mission—His sacrifice on the cross and the redemption it accomplished.

  • Foundations Episode 2 - God's Promises, God's Works, & Our Faith
    2026/03/14

If salvation depends on what we do, does that place God in our debt? In this episode of the Foundations Series, we explore the biblical relationship between God’s promises, God’s work, and our faith. Looking at Abraham and the message of Romans 4, we examine why salvation rests on trusting what God has done rather than what we can accomplish ourselves.
