  • 005- A Shamanic Experience at Rosslyn Chapel: Green Men, Mystery, and Discernment
    2025/10/21

I toured Rosslyn Chapel, famous from The Da Vinci Code and beloved by many in my community. The ley lines are strong. The carvings are wild and beautiful, especially the many Green Man faces. Yet it wasn't my spot. Later on the trip, Glastonbury and the Chalice Well felt like home. This contrast taught me a lot about energetic affinity.

    Why it matters
A site can be powerful and still not be your medicine. Travel gets easier and richer when we trust our direct felt sense. Recommendations are useful, yet your own alignment is the compass that counts.

    Highlights

    • Power vs. affinity: respecting a place even when it is not for you

    • Green Man carvings and nature motifs inside a Christian chapel

    • Using comparisons to learn your preferences, like Glastonbury vs. Rosslyn

    • Building a personal map of places that nourish you

    Practical tips

    • Do a quick check in your body before planning long visits or ceremonies

    • If a friend's taste aligns with yours, weight their recs more heavily

    • Allow spacious timing so you can leave early or linger as needed

    • Pair busy sites with nearby nature where you can recalibrate

    Invitation
Trust your senses. Let yourself love what loves you back. Your shamanic experience is one true layer. Someone else may meet a different one.

  • 004- A Shamanic Experience in Peru (Part 2): Machu Picchu, Moon Temple, and Wise Choices
    2025/10/21

    What I explore
Two Peru trips became anchor memories for me. In this follow-up I focus on practical navigation: how guides and drivers work, why some stops are curated for commissions, and how to choose sites that let you drop in. I share my favorite quiet moments at Machu Picchu and why the Temple of the Moon near Cusco is worth the detour.

    Why it matters
The Andes are generous. Discernment lets you receive that generosity without unnecessary entanglements. I offer clear frames for shopping glamours, ceremony containers, and plant-medicine tourism so you can stay centered, protected, and open.

    Highlights

    • Temple of the Moon for spacious energy and fewer crowds

    • Late-afternoon Machu Picchu from the agricultural terraces for stillness

    • The Sun Gate hike as an initiation into meeting discomfort with grace

    • Understanding tour kickbacks so you can choose aligned stops

    Practical tips

    • Altitude and weather shift fast. Hydrate, carry layers, pace yourself.

    • Bug spray is your friend in Aguas Calientes and river areas.

    • Lodging can be unheated at altitude. Confirm heat before you book.

    • Use vetted transport in cities. Ask your hotel for current guidance.

    • Share your route with your group. Sacred awe stretches clocks.

    Energy hygiene and discernment

    • Choose practitioners with integrity and small groups for any ceremony.

    • If something feels glamoured, step away and check again later.

    • Plant-medicine tourism can open vulnerability. Strong container or skip.

    • Walk with protection. Decline energetic engagement that is not yours.

  • 003- A Shamanic Experience in Peru (Part 1): Land Magic, Living Lineages, Wise Travel
    2025/10/21

I took two close-together trips to Peru: first as a participant, then leading my own small group. We based in Cusco, moved through the Sacred Valley, and took the train to Machu Picchu. I talk about sensing energy at Incan sites, traveling within the "Gringo Trail" infrastructure, and how wide, open landscapes still offer deep, personal experiences.

Why it matters on the path
The Andes hold potent, generous medicine—and Peru also holds a living, unbroken shamanic lineage. That combination invites reverence and discernment. I share practical stories about guides, group pacing, energetic "layers" of a site, and the difference between nourishing power and manipulative glamour.

    Discernment notes

    • Shopping: notice "glamour" energy; some market items are imported. Buy what still feels right after you step away.

    • Ceremony: beautiful options exist; choose practitioners with integrity and clear containers.

    • Plant medicine tourism: vulnerability requires strong space holding. High doses and weak containers can create harm. Pause, research, and listen to your intuition.

    • Energy hygiene: walk with protection, stay centered, avoid engaging with overtly manipulative magic.

    Highlights & stories

    • Traveling with a caring local driver and guide; how support shapes the experience

    • Feeling the power lines at ruins and choosing which layer to engage

    • Group travel realities on sacred land (herding cats with love)

    • A despacho ceremony that became a lifelong touchstone

    • One rare energetic attack—what I did, and why I didn't "engage back"

    Practical tips

    • The dollar goes far; invest in good local support for transport and guiding

    • Use the tourist infrastructure for ease, then find your quiet corners on site

    • Set clear meeting times with groups; sacred awe stretches clocks

    • Safety basics in cities: vetted taxis, situational awareness, trusted recommendations
