The midwives defied Pharaoh’s orders and kept the babies alive.
A mother hid her son for as long as she could.
His sister watched over him and stepped in at just the right moment.
Pharaoh’s daughter recognized that he was a Hebrew child, but chose compassion anyway—making it possible for his own mother to care for him.
None of these women were particularly powerful, but together they conspired to use the power they had for good.
