THANK GOD IT’S FRIDAAAAY!
Perhaps it’s no surprise that after last episode’s double duty bleak week experience, this episode is singing a slightly happier tune. We all need a balanced diet right? Consumption of film is no different to consumption of food in that respect, so welcome to Episode Six of Season Two of A Couple of Old Fashioneds: Becca and Joe’s Double Feature Date Night at the Movies!
On this episode the Theme is, “Beggars Can’t Be Choosers”, and the movies are:
A NEW LEAF & TRADING PLACES!
Join Becca and Joe in their second episode featuring The Sorting Hat’s randomly allocated Theme…although bringing two more joyful features to double up with was likely less random. Who decided that it was time to break open the seasonal Christmas movie box already, and who is turning over new leaves as the ones around us start to fall? And what movie choice would you have brought to trade places with either of these?
Watch the episode to find out if you guessed right, and stay tuned to the end to find out what the Theme will be next week!
Don’t forget now the show is its own broadcast to please subscribe to its YouTube and Podcast channels, share with anyone you think would enjoy and stay up to date on latest episodes! Follow it on Instagram and Letterboxd to see the complete movie lists and let Becca and Joe know in the Comment Sections on YouTube or leave a Review wherever you Podcast about whether you agree with their picks and what movie you would’ve brought if it had been a Triple Feature.
We know none of you need to beg when it comes to podcast content out there and that you have an insane variety of choice. Thank you for choosing us.
After all, the greatest gift a movie lover can give another is a great title they have yet to discover. That’s what movies are all about - they’re the only kind of marathon worth participating in and they’re what Date Nights are made for.
So settle in, grab your favorite old fashioned drink with your favorite old fashioned person (if that’s the pleasure of your own company then we completely feel you), and revel in a couple old fashioned conversations with Becca and Joe. They are, let’s face it, a pretty old fashioned kind of couple themselves.
