概要
Quan’s story is one of almost making it—almost escaping the cycle, almost breaking free. What started as a conversation about a clothing brand quickly turned into a powerful lesson in what not to do.
In this episode, we sit down with Quan, who is incarcerated in Connecticut for murder, for a conversation that quickly moves far beyond fashion. Quan opens up about growing up without stability—losing his mother to addiction at a young age, entering the foster system, and navigating life without guidance. Despite it all, he graduated high school and earned a full-ride football scholarship to an HBCU. Then he lost it. When a second full ride came along, it felt like redemption was finally within reach.
Just days later, everything fell apart.
Quan speaks candidly about the shooting that led to his incarceration, how law enforcement attempted to tie a reopened cold case to him, and how years in prison forced him to confront his choices and mature in ways he never had on the outside. Now older and more self-aware, Quan’s mission is to use his story to reach young people before it’s too late.
He also shares details about his clothing brand—one of the few ways he’s trying to build something meaningful from behind the walls.
