  • Ben Rockwell of Longbeach, the face of the accessibility advisory committee
    2025/12/27

We recently learned that Ben Rockwell, from Long Beach recently passed away. The AAC's Cynde Soto passed along a letter from the pastor of the church they both attended.

If you want a braille copy of the letter, please contact me through the Metro fan site and I'll make sure you get a copy.

At some point, we can determine where to put people like Ben who have had an impact on the disability community like he has for so many years. The letter talks about a little of his work.

Please enjoy this 11 minute podcast, and yes, the track was changed to fit the mood.

We'll have more podcasts very soon here, thanks so much for listening!

  • A Day in the Life: The AAC meeting report and thoughts
    2025/12/15

As we conclude another year, we reflect on this podcast's short time here and invite users to contribute their thoughts as well.

I'm not going anywhere, and I know that we'll see how things go.

If you want comments aired, I give you info on how to do this from within the podcast, and I discuss where we are in our numbering scheme although we do not put episode numbers within this podcast.

We discuss what happened during the AAC meeting with the understanding that things will be more clear when the minutes are concluded and made available for us to deal with in February.

    Its under previous meetings.

Hope you enjoy this 50 minute wander through the meeting of things that caught my attention.
