  • BDB 2025 Season Review Series Episode #16 - The Tampa Bay Rays (w/ Grant Kerry!)
    2026/03/01

It's time for our final 2026 Season Review and we are finishing up in Tampa of all places, as we review the Rays!

Joining Gaz and Cal on this one is Grant Kerry - former GB Men's Alumni and one of Cal's oldest friends!

The Rays started off very strong in 2026, at one point leading the AL East, before sliding to a 77-85 record, good for 4th place!

The season didn't start the way the Rays would have wanted, with Tropicana Field being unusable following Hurricane Milton passing through. So the Rays played half their games at the Yankees' Spring Training facility - Steinbrenner Field!

Despite playing at a minor league ballpark, the Rays did put on a show worthy of the major leagues at times! Junior Caminero was smashing the ball everywhere and Jonathan Aranda was a contender for the batting title for much of last year!

Throw in the speedy Chandler Simpson and the ever-reliable Yandy Diaz, and its safe to say that the Rays had a lineup capable of causing damage to a lot of the teams in the league!

The off-season was very interesting for the Rays, with them being involved in numerous 3-team trades and a lot of new faces in the 2026 roster! So how exactly will they fare in 2026?

Joining Gaz & Cal on this episode is Grant Kerry, avid Rays fan and childhood friend of Cal!

So have a listen as we review the Rays' 2025 season and discuss what 2026 may have in store - Happy Listening!

  • BDB 2025 Season Review Series Episode #15 - The New York Yankees (w/ Alan from Bad Arm!)
    2026/02/06

It's time Yankees fan - on our 15th edition of the 2025 Season Review Series, we're reviewing the New York Yankees!

Joining Gaz and Cal on this one is Alan Taylor - owner of Bad Arm, the UK's best baseball meets fashion brand! (Also one of our new friends!)

The Yankees seemed to struggle this year to a 94-68 record, finishing 2nd in the AL East before beating their long time rivals the Boston Red Sox in the Wildcard Round! Unfortunately, in the ALDS they came up against a more than game Blue Jays, losing 3-2 and being bounced from the playoffs.

We can't talk about the Yankees without mentioning the AL MVP, Aaron Judge, who finished the 2025 season putting up video game numbers! He was supported by his outfield teammates Trent Grisham & Cody Bellinger, who all combined for one of the most potent offenses in all of baseball!

It was a good thing that the offense were as good as they were, because the Yankees bullpen didn't want to help it seems! Devin Williams, Luke Weaver, Jake Bird and Mark Leiter Jr are just a number of pitchers who cost the Yankees a few games last year!

So what does 2026 have in store for the Yanks?

Joining Gaz & Cal on this episode is Alan Taylor from Bad Arm Baseball (and also one of our new roster additions!)

So have a listen as we review the Yankees' 2025 season and discuss what 2026 may have in store - Happy Listening!

  • Brit Does Baseball Does Podcast Episode 15 - The Roster Expands!
    2026/02/01

With the 2026 season almost upon us (you can smell Spring Training in the air), we thought it would be a fantastic chance to introduce you to the newest members of the Brit Does Baseball team!

We have 3 new additions joining the team (some of whom you may have already heard on the pod):

Up first is Josh, band mate of Cal in Crocodile Death Trap, and more importantly our new AL West expert! Josh is a fan of the Seattle Mariners and made his debut appearance on our Mariners 2025 Season Review! We look forward to keeping track of the Big Dumper's exploits on a more consistent basis!

Also joining the podcast is George - a fan of the New York Mets! George also made his debut on our Mets 2025 Season Review, so he's had a taste as to what to expect! We can't wait to see what George is going to bring to the pod - especially supporting the New York Team that wasn't referred to as the 'Evil Empire' for years!

Our final addition is Alan - creator of baseball based fashion brand 'Bad Arm Baseball' but arguably more importantly a new member of the BDB roster! We thought we had to equal out the New York fandom - so we have done that by bringing in New York Yankee fan Alan!

So there you have a brief introduction to our new roster additions, joining Gaz and Cal with the aim of bringing you even better content in 2026!

We debut this new era for the podcast by playing a few games and quizzes - with Cal putting all the new debutants and Gaz through their paces before the 2026 season begins properly!

    Happy Listening!

  • BDB 2025 Season Review Series Episode #14 - The Philadelphia Phillies (w/ Jay from Drunks on the Pond!)
    2026/01/25

On our 14th episode of the 2025 Season Review Series, we're looking at the Philadelphia Phillies!

It's a full circle moment for Gaz as he's joined by Jay from Drunks on the Pond, part of the Infield Media network! Gaz made one of his earliest podcast appearances on Drunks on the Pond and it was nice almost a year later for BDB to return the favour!

The Phillies had what you may consider a standard season at this point considering their standards - finishing with a record of 96-66 and taking home the AL East title!

They did face off against the Dodgers in the NLDS but unfortunately came up short, as the Dodgers took the series 3-1!

The Phillies were carried by Kyle Schwarber offensively, as the beefy boy smashed 56 HRs and 132 RBIs!

He was supported by long-time friend of Rob Manfred, Bryce Harper and Max Kepler.

On the pitching side, Zack Wheeler again showed his class before heading to the IL, but in his absence Christopher Sanchez ably stood in, pitching to a 2.50 ERA and helping lead the Phillies to the playoffs!

So will Philadelphia run it back successfully in 2026?

Joining Gaz on this episode is Jay from the Drunks on the Pond podcast, part of the Infield Media Network!

So have a listen as we review the Phillies' 2025 season and discuss what 2026 may have in store - Happy Listening!
