There is a huge difference between being alone and being lonely.
Sometimes we hold onto relationships, situationships, friendships, or people who aren't right for us simply because we're afraid of what life will look like without them.
But being alone isn't the worst thing that can happen.
Being with someone who makes you feel alone is worse.
In this episode of Take Back Your Power, we're talking about what it actually looks like to build a life that feels full, exciting, peaceful, and completely yours—whether you're in a relationship or not.
Because being whole on your own doesn't mean you don't want love.
It means you stop abandoning yourself to get it.
- Taking yourself on the damn date
- Finding hobbies and interests that belong to YOU
- Creating routines you genuinely love
- Taking care of your body from a place of love instead of punishment
- Learning to travel, explore, and experience things alone
- Making your home feel like your safe place
- Building friendships, community, and different sources of love
- Creating goals that have nothing to do with a relationship
- Learning to sit with yourself instead of constantly distracting yourself
- Stopping the habit of waiting for someone else before you start living
And most importantly, we're talking about the difference between independence and emotional walls.
The goal isn't to become someone who says, “I don't need anybody.”
The goal is to become someone who can say:
“I want love. But I don't need to abandon myself to have it.”
Because when you've built a life you genuinely love, your standards change.
Someone doesn't just have to want you.
They have to add something to your life that's better than the peace you've already created.
If this episode made you realize you've been over-giving, chasing, people-pleasing, accepting breadcrumbs, or losing yourself trying to keep other people, my book F*ck the Pain. Take Back Your Power. was written for you.
It's about recognizing the patterns keeping you stuck, rebuilding your self-worth, creating boundaries, releasing what no longer belongs in your life, and learning how to choose yourself without apology.
The goal isn't to convince someone else to choose you.
The goal is to become so rooted in yourself that you stop abandoning yourself when they don't.
