このコンテンツについて
Removing our attachment to the outcome of our lives opens us up to new opportunities that have the ability to transform our lives and that of others, but it can be hard to see the impact of your life's journey as you live it moment to moment. In this episode of the chattabox, Michel Peterson (@seashellbythecshore) shares his journey pivoting from marine biology into youth work and how his passions have all helped him be impactful in shaping the lives of the next generation. As a lead for the St. Maarten Youth Brigade, Michel breaks down the ins and outs of the program and how it helps transform young people into collaborative and empathetic leaders that are self-sufficient and resilient. Growing up in da yard, Michel shares how exploring St. Maarten's natural features shaped his outlook on life and how these skills unknowingly prepared him for his role at the Brigade. We discuss the importance of nature for our culture as islanders, the benefits of having a strong support system, how community leaders play a huge role in supporting the youth, and more.
