Dyspraxia and saving money is something almost nobody talks about, so if you have been looking for why you cannot save money with dyspraxia, or how to save money when every system you set up falls apart, this episode is for you. Dyspraxia money management gets very little attention compared to ADHD, and savings advice for neurodivergent adults almost never accounts for the part dyspraxic adults actually struggle with.

There is a savings account you have been meaning to open for years. You have started the form more than once. And you cannot work out why this is the one money task that has never stuck, when you manage your bills perfectly well.

In this episode you will find out why saving is harder with dyspraxia than almost anything else you do with money, and four fixes built to hold.

Esther Bangura, financial coach for neurodivergent adults, makes the case that savings is the only part of your financial life that never comes looking for you. There is no deadline, no letter and no consequence, so every dyspraxic difficulty is left standing on its own with nothing to push you through it. She names the four places savings systems break for dyspraxic adults: the setup itself, which is a construction project rather than a single action; the physical and motor cost of doing money admin inside an app built for precise fingers; the cost of learning a new system, which is written into the definition of dyspraxia rather than being a side effect; and the maintenance problem, because savings is the one system with no reminder built into it anywhere. She then reframes being called all or nothing, and gives four practical fixes covering support at setup, automation, visibility, and a repair rule you write in advance so you never have to rebuild from scratch.
