He is best known for his influential work in the jazz world, where he has served as a critic, historian, educator, and record producer. Gioia is the author of 12 books, including The History of Jazz, The Jazz Standards, and Music: A Subversive History, which have been widely acclaimed and translated into 11 languages.

They announced their upcoming EP Café Life with the single “The Hand That I Put Down,” which we named one of the Best Songs Of The Week, and today we get another one called “Plein Air.”
