Today's Guest: Brown University's Assistant Vice President for Athletics and Recreation- Jake Silverman

Our guest today began his journey in collegiate athletics at Syracuse University, graduating in 2008 after serving as a student assistant coach for the defensive line and interning with both the Philadelphia Eagles training camp and Comcast SportsNet. He then built a 14-year career at the University of Pennsylvania, starting with eight seasons in the football program before rising to associate athletics director for operations. Along the way, he earned a master's degree in organizational dynamics from Penn in 2012, oversaw 13 sports programs, managed more than 200 annual events, and served as the athletics liaison for dining, residential services, and 35 active club sports.

In 2023, he was elevated to Deputy Director of Athletics for Intercollegiate Programs and Performance, taking on broader leadership of the sport supervisor team and the student-athlete development, wellness, and performance units, while also leading several successful head-coaching searches.

In the summer of 2024, he was promoted to Assistant Vice President for Athletics and Recreation, joining the University's Executive Committee and the Ivy League's Senior Leadership group. Most recently, in 2026, he was named to the NCAA Division I Women's Lacrosse committee, overseeing all intercollegiate and performance programs at Brown across Men's Basketball, Football, Men's and Women's Lacrosse, Men's and Women's Golf, Women's Soccer, and Men's Hockey.
