How many versions of yourself do you move through in a single day?

In Episode 5 of Gaygents of Pierce County, Guy and Wil explore the masks we wear as gay men, real estate professionals, business leaders, friends, dog dads and members of our community.

They open up about code-switching around clients, quietly scanning a room for safety, separating friend groups, hiding when things are not okay and feeling pressure to remain calm and confident when life, or a real estate transaction, goes sideways.

The conversation moves from rainbow polos and unexpectedly revealing socks to deeper questions about faith, worthiness, scarcity and the belief that our value depends on how well we perform.

Can professionalism and authenticity coexist? Are different sides of our personalities masks, or are they all genuine pieces of who we are? And what changes when we stop waiting for permission to be ourselves?

This is a personal conversation about finding your people, building trust and choosing to show up authentically, even when years of conditioning tell you to filter yourself.

Gaygents of Pierce County is hosted by Guy Maughan and Wil Fernandez, two gay Realtors living, working and building community in Tacoma–Pierce County, Washington.
